Here is some more information about the NVYSL U10 meeting, as well as the location of the meeting.

The meeting for the U10 coaches starts at 5:00. They usually separate the U10 coaches for about 15 minutes, just to give them a brief introduction to the NVYSL, then you will join the other coaches in the room next door. The meeting usually ends around 6:00

Here is a mapquest picture of the site: It is exit 37 off route 2, then follow Jackson Road for about a mile, and there will be a hotel on your right. The meeting place is a smaller building to the right of the hotel. It will take you about half an hour to get there.

25th

Practices will start on Monday, August 25th.

26th
The HYSA Fall 2008 coach's meeting will be Tuesday, August 26th, at 7:00, at the High School. This is probably the last NVYSL coach's meeting we will have separately from the NVYSL meeting. Most other towns now have their coach's meeting right after the NVYSL meeting, and we will start doing that next Spring.

Mass Youth Soccer is getting ready to schedule our January 2008 Skills Academy program. The Skills Academy will provide intense skills training for highly motivated players ages 10, 11 and 12 who are affiliated with Mass Youth Soccer. Sessions will be dynamic, fast paced and will cover all areas of technical development. This year the focus is on players born in 1996 and 1997. Mass Youth Soccer wishes to provide locations across the state to try and reach as many players as possible. This will be our 4th year running the Skills Academy program, this program has been very successful, and has grown with each year.

Mass Youth Soccer picks up the cost of the facility, we just need some help to secure sites across the state. If you could please send an email out to contacts in your league, letting people know about the program, and if anyone is interested in bringing a Skills Academy to his/her town, to please contact me. Last year we found that many organizations contacted us after we had already set up locations, and it was too late. This year we would like to take a proactive approach in order to serve as many organizations as possible.
