 F License Coaching Course

Hudson Youth Soccer will be hosting an F License Coaching Course on Wednesdays 10/22 & 10/29. The course will run from 6-10 p.m. at Hudson High School and involves classroom and instructional play.

I highly recommend taking the state licensing courses. These courses teach the fundamentals of soccer coaching and play. The courses are run by an exceptional staff from Mass Youth Soccer that have national, collegiate and professional backgrounds.

In order to attend the F level course, you must first take the G level course. I know some folks have already taken the G level course. For others, you can check out Mass Youth Soccer's website under Coaching Events Schedule,
MYSA_Coaching_Course_F1_Hudson

The cost of the F level course is $55. Registration is through the Mass Youth Soccer website. I am working with Tara to get this course posted shortly.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Thanks,
Maureen Kraft

PracticesWe finished the field setup 4/6, thanks to a lot of volunteers who showed up and donated their time.

4/10/08 - I think we are all setup for week #1. Many coaches and parents donated a lot of time over the weekend to set everything up, and the help is greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, the weather isn't cooperating at this point. If it is raining, Hudson fields will probably be closed.

For those of you a home game, NVYSL recommends calling the opposing coach, and making sure you are on the same page for this weekend's games.

The field painting schedule is almost complete, and will be sent out shortly.

The referee schedule is almost complete, and it will also be sent out shortly.

Thank you, Richard

Subject: Mass Youth: AGM News

To all,

There was good attendance at the Mass Youth AGM today - enough people to have an official meeting.  Here is a quick summary of the decisions made.

1. Minutes of 2007 were accepted.
2. Reports of the Officers and SYRA were accepted.
3. Financial Report was reviewed noting that a long term debt from Ben Franklin Bank was refinanced to reduce the interest rate from approximately 7% to 5.2%.
4. Election of Officers was made for the positions with only one nominee.  The Director at Large - District 4 position was won by David Dalrymple of Bedford.
5. Constitution and Bylaw changes were approved.  Item 1: the Mass Youth Exec. Comm will be expanded from 4 people to 5 people with the fifth person be selected by the Mass Youth Board of Directors.  Item 2: Capital expenditures in excess of $100,000 (vs $25,000) will now require approval at Corporate Meeting.
6. Other:
  •     Mass Youth has bid on hosting the US Soccer National Championship Series for 2009 and 2010 at Citizens Bank Fields at Progin Park in Lancaster.  Decision expected in 4-6 months from US Soccer.
  •     Mass Youth has bid on hosting the 2012 US Soccer Workshop in Boston (last one in Boston was in 2004).
  •     There will be a new Summer League from Region 1 called the Directors Cup.  This is for strong TOWN teams, not club teams.  More info to follow.
  • Mass Youth needs a new Director for the TOPS program.  Interested candidates should contact the Mass Youth office or myself.
I have electronic copies of the most of the above reference documents, let me know if you would like a copy.  Also, if you have any questions, comments, concerns with Mass Youth please let me know.  If you would like a Mass Youth Board member including myself to visit your organization let me know and I can schedule this with you.
